A medical emergency can happen at any time – in the office, in production areas, on company premises or while on the move. In such situations, it is essential to act quickly, safely and correctly.
Our training prepares employees and managers in a practical way for their role as workplace first aiders. Participants learn how to assess emergency situations correctly, initiate life-saving immediate measures and provide safe support to injured or ill persons until further help arrives.
Target Group
This training is aimed at companies that would like to have employees trained as workplace first aiders or refresh existing first aid knowledge.
The course is suitable for employees and managers from industry, trade, administration, logistics, production and other operational areas.
Learning Objective
After completing the course, participants will be able to perform life-saving measures safely and recognize typical emergency situations.
They learn how to identify risks to health and life based on visible signs or easily recognizable symptoms – such as bleeding, respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest or unconsciousness – and how to respond appropriately.
Training Content
The course covers the key principles and practical measures of first aid, including:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Use of an AED
- Recognizing an emergency
- Life-saving immediate measures
- First aid materials and first aid kits
- Correct documentation of first aid measures
- Legal principles
- Self-protection and securing an emergency scene
Practical Exercises
A particular focus is placed on practical application. Participants practise important measures that help them remain calm, confident and capable of acting in an emergency.
This includes, in particular, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the use of an AED and the correct response to acute emergencies.
Procedure and Organization
The training combines easy-to-understand theoretical basics with practical exercises and a strong focus on everyday workplace situations.

Requirements:
No prior knowledge is required.
Note:
For the practical exercises, we recommend wearing suitable and comfortable clothing.
Refresher Training:
Workplace first aiders must receive regular refresher training in accordance with DGUV Regulation 1 “Principles of Prevention”. As a rule, refresher training takes place every two years.
By arrangement, the training can be held at DEUTZ Sicherheit or directly at your company premises.
